Mistake of Pythagoras

Downloading now, thanks for the heads up!

Any eta on the next Minerva?

Woah! Satou rocks! Sweet Half-Life is one of my most favourite mods of all time- I'll definitely have to give this a look!

(And yeah, we're all drooling over Minerva too.

...that sounded wrong. Nevermind.)

Awesome. I loved his previous work. I'm on the d/l as we speak :D.

Great Mod, The Way you put in the Main HL2 Characters is great , The Second Chapter was fun with the Combine Elites but..I Don't get the ending...

Thanks for the head's up, Cargo. Downloading now, really looking forward to this. Peaces Like Us is my absolute favorite SP mod of all time; I still play it every now and then. Here's hoping this one's as good, because HL2 needs more good SP episodes.

Well, Pi's anguish with bizzare foreigns mods aside, I grappled with an insanely slow server and finally got the mod.

Only to find that the second level is corrupt. Damn .zips!

Fortunately it was small enough for a .zip fixing utility: so everybody who was prepared to help me needn't worry now. God bless free trial programs!

Some parts of the mod get insanly repetitive either that or I have no clue what to do so I end up fighting the same swarm of monsters over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and overand over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over...ect

it is totally off the wall, but as has been siad before some parts are soo confusing. like the ddescending walkway, with the levitating cylinder that spawns manhacks...

yeah I eventually figured out that you had to attack those white little mointor things at the top of the cylinder then when its at the bottom (the part when it spawns in those posions head crabs and head crab throwers). You have to destroy these 3 compents that are under the cylinder. In any case, I liked how gordon gets telekenisis towards the end and how you could rip stuff off the wall destroy walls and all the carnage you where capable off. In which case you have to use that to get past a few parts (and to kill the final boss).

How on earth do you get past the part with the triangular thing that drops headcrabs? I've shot it down but I am at the monitor/keyboard thing and it won't let me in the door.

OK, it's probably just a trigger not working but:

I need a bit of help with the section with the fast zombies and the razor train, when the teleport disk opens up, should i teleport through it?

The disc is essentially just a wall you can walk through: if you jump through it, you should end up in an adjacent room that looks markedly different to the razor train area...

Oh, and JFry: if you're where I think you're at, shouldn't Alyx be with you? Have a look her and take her to the door- she should open it for you if there aren't any more enemies around.

I never played level 2, because after all the trouble I went to the game crashed whenever it tried to load the "recovered" file, and I didn't have the patience to re-download it. In addition, I never got past the final "boss"- I cheated my way to the last level because I had no idea what to do.

The ending was pretty cool, at least. But the section beforehand with the gigantic ship and the constantly spawning manhacks confused the hell out of me. I thought the nearby Combine-style walls had something to do with it- as they seemed to spit sparks whenever I pointed my telekinesis in their direction- but I couldn't figure out what. Blargh!

It's a good mod, but the horrible horrible vagueness means it can never be quite as good as earlier efforts like Peaces like Us or Sweet Half-Life.

yeah Edcrab you have to toss the wall at the machine. Just keep looking at the wall until gordon lifts it up. Then keep looking at the wall while its in the air above you then look at the boss, gordon well jam the wall into the cylinder breaking it.

No Alyx isn't with me ( a bug perhaps?). The closest landmark I can think of to describe where I am would be the swirly door to the other dimension thingy and the video screen across from it with the citadel getting attacked. Anybody know what I should do?

What do you do in there / How do you get out?
I've been doing everything!

After you jump thru you should see a different block on the wall to the right. I think it's in the shape of a cross. You need to use this and it should start a chain reaction.

Yeah, you pull it out with the gravgun... or something...

And if Alyx isn't about, I'm not sure what's meant to be going on :O
