20ID site

Filefront

I stumbled upon this video while looking for a solution to a BF2 problem, and in a word I'm utterly shocked at some of the footage in the film. The video is the highlight of 20ID clan during CAL play and while there's a good chunk of noob tubing / c4 / bunnyhop, there's still some REALLY amazing footage.

I don't want to spoil anything for you but there's one really insane kill in Songhua Stalemate that involves a tank and a chopper...

Note the video's are 400mb in size (800x600 resolution), yeah I know it's huge but trust me, it's well worth watching if you haven't seen it already. :bounce:

Alright the pokemon type music at about 13 minutes is making me laugh.

Good video soo far though, pretty good players.

Whoa! I only get 'bout 100kb/sec if I'm lucky.

Hm...I got about 200 kb/s on 20ID site and 10 kb/s on Filefront, apparently Filefront does not like Opera i:|

1mb/s and 57kb/s.....

gives me an error after dl though...

pfft, 3 meg a second.

Go uni go!

It doesn't work. :|

Problem?

Does the problem occur when you attempt to run the video or immediately after download finishes? If it's a player problem you could try using VLC Media Player, IMO the best video player (bar none) available. If it's in a video format then this sucker will play it, it's never asked for codec components and I haven't encountered a format VLC has been unable to play.

Ah yes... I wander if SHAKER could make a movire that cool :) *hint, hint*

Wow, All the pussy tactics in one convenient video.

No thanks.

Nice vid. Go to 15:07 though and look at the funny hopping, it's like they were having a party not fighting.

Yeah, thats why I've never been into "real" clan play, since the cutthroat attitude usually leads to stuff like that.

And how in the holy hell did he pull off that tank shot? You can't even SEE the target.

Hopefully the next patch will stabilize the gameplay and remove the awkward bunnyhopping.

I have no idea how the tank pulled off that shot, I mean it looked like the chopper was 3 draw distances away :|

the tank shot was just planned, when they practice i'm sure there's a guy at that base telling the guy in the tank to aim 'higher' or 'lower' etc, and then he just memorizes where it is and spams the chopper spot for that match until his team can capture it...

Just read about the patch and you will see it doesn't remove bunnyhopping. It only removes the ability to shoot while jumping.

Yeah, but that means you can take your time and shoot the bugger out of the air, since he can't defend himself. :D

Oh ok, I was under the impression they were going to tie-in the jumping with the Sprint meter. Regardless, removing the ability to fire mid-air takes away a huge reason to bunnyhop.

bunnyhopping works so well though, i don't know if any of you have tried it, but it easily rocks anybody's world. That dolphin diving thing i couldn't even figure out though.

I just think they should fix the jumping thing by making the weapon VERY inaccurate while jumping. I HATE HATE HATE it when game designers can't figure out a way to keep you from doing something without sticking in some code that doesn't make sense.

Forza motor sports is an awesome example. Driving in the grass is bad, you shouldn't do it, so in forza if you hit the grass at 230mph you will drop down to 30mph so fast your retina's detach. This way you won't be tempted to drive on the grass, does it make sense? No. For this reason, i despise the game. In GT4 if you hit the grass, you just get all sideways, but you can still drive on it.

Making you UNABLE to shoot while jumping a cheap and lazy way out of a situation and i hate EA (more so) for doing it this way.

In essence you want it follow the CS model? (not necessarily a bad thing)

But if you think of it logically, who in the world would actually fire a weapon in mid-air? John Woo movies aside, it's pretty realistic to disable firing in mid air. I mean can you imagine firing a SAW in mid-jump?

Too bad about how stuff explodes in water, bridges can be repaired by waving a wrench, and pads magically repair and rearm in flight copters. :D

I can't vouche for pad rearming but whenever I wave my TV remote the channel changes, so it's not too far fetched :p

I wish. That's a quite logical thing to do, isn't it? In CS you can make 2-3 jumps and you're stuck to the ground for a while. That's why you see bunnyhoppers rarely (rarely, cause it's possible but not easy to perform).
