Most underrated Half Life level?

Hi, my name is Bob Saget and I think Route Kanal is underrated.

Route Kanal. And it's nice, but not exactly awesome. It actually was one of the more "half-lifey" levels, reminding me of the levels directly after the resonance cascade.

I would say Sandtraps.

I loved Route Kanal. Very atmospheric, lots of good combat.
The bit that I always seem to forget about, though, is the part just after Ravenholm and before Highway 17, with the snipers and the parking-lot-ful of Combine. Short but awesome.

That was great, mostly due to the fact that 1: you get the pulse rifle and 2: the music is awesome.

LOWLIFE. People keep complaining about it cause it's so dark but I loved it, the suspense that your only protection is your flashlight and your gun made it awesome.

Entanglement. Contains two of the best sequences in the whole game (Alyx/Eli+Teleport with Mossman) and the turret defence is hella fun.

Yeah, Xen wasn't that great, but I don't reckon many levels are particularly underrated.

Freeman Pontifex.

This is a great level, especially when you are tossing around the steal plating so Alyx can cover you with the sniper rifle against the zombie horde. I think it is comparable to Lowlife although LL gets the slight edge.

Xen is definitely underrated, and you guys just proved it in this thread.

Those health pools were so relaxing and the level with the tentacles and the gargantua felt awesome. Big momma wasn't too fun but the factories were also great.

The only good thing about Xen was the art design.

Beginning of Sandtraps when you get into a dark tunnel then into a room, and then a zombie starts banging with bouth hands on the window and moaning... Unforgettable...

Another underrated level is Urban Flight. No one really metions this level but is probably one of the best in the whole series. Excellent urban combat with combine soldiers, plenty of zombie slaying, The F'n hospital, an Antlion guard battle, and a kickass gunship fight. Yup. Probably in the top 5 levels.

Undue Alarm and Direct Intervention. Easily the best two intro levels any HL game has had.
