Hard topic to place in the forum as it covers 3 topics, but anyway, if a mod decided to move he can.
Never seen these in the UK but MTV have redone some music video's by animating characters from in games.
I don't know how they did this with no SDK; they probably have deals with publishers for the free advertisment. However the video's are really well done and I am tempted to try a video out in the HL2 universe.

The "Get Low" in Fight Club the game is probably the funniest one I have seen so far, well done to the animators
