mulltipule 3D skyboxes ?

is it possible to have more then one 3D skyboxes in 1 map ? and can in each one of these skyboxes have another fog controller ? thanks :D

Only one is allowed. How would multiples work in any case?
 
I think he means different skyboxes types for different locations, not neccessarily using skyboxes for the sky but for details around the level.
 
Doesn't sound like that's possible either.

Well it's used in most CS:S maps. Think of the hills in the distance of de_dust and then the dome exterior. It's all the same skymap but it's just that different parts have been positioned to fit together in-game.

You could have green hills on one side of a level and magma-charred landscape complete with volcano on the other if you really wanted.

Right, what I meant was using more than 1 skybox texture.

i wanted a 3D skybox for nearby hills and a 3D skybox for mountains in the distance.

well that means making a very very very big 3D skybox. I lost coast they have mountains in the 3D skybox, and i thought the made a skybox for the mountains and a skybox for the hills ... but no, they didnt. So yes -Crispy-, that means putting a lot more in the skybox :(
