Multiplay in HL2 Add-on?

i forget where, but i know i heard somewhere (probably PC Gamer) that HL 2 will have an add-on. I think that in tha add-on they'll most likely put HL 2 multiplayer modes in it. My guess is that they'll have DM, TDM, maybe cature the flag, and a gametype with big maps and vehicles like BF1942 or Halo. Either that or they'll give us another mainly singleplay expansion like with OpFo and blue shift.

Or mayb in like a year they'll come out with like a "Half Life 2 uber edition" which wuld have the best user made mods, hl2 multiplay, and everything else in tha normal retail package.

Well, we can be pretty sure Valve will release a deathmatch addon sometime after release.
And we know there will be official expansion packs.

All sounds good.

But I don't know about that "Uber Edition" heh.

the text about the add-ons in PC Gamer was just speculation. the reviewer assumed that there will be many add-ons like for HL1.

That would be nice, HL2 themed Team deathmatch with "realistic" (I realise Counter-Strike isn't realistic, dw, I play Red Orchestra and IL-2, but it is "realistic" compared to say, TFC or HLDM or UT2004) weapons etc. That would be a really nice suprise indeed....

Combine vs Resistance really would be something i'd play alot... especially if it was gritty and not TFC like, jumping around like an idiot... and encouraged squad tactics. (apologies to TFC fans, I just wouldn't like to see this, it would ruin the "atmosphere" which would be important to me in a HL2 teamplay mod like this...)

Somehow I doubt this is going to happen though, because it's a long shot

I'm sure VALVe will do some sort of HL2 themed MP in the future... If it was an all original HL2 themed MP addon pack I would just die of love
