Mute Math

Yeah oops...

Anyways, looks like they're touring with Matchbox 20 right now... explains a lot.

Yeah, they are just destroying themselves, touring with the wrong bands and all. Matchbox 20 doesn't sound like them at all, and are dipshit compared to them. Their live performances and energy onstage are what have made them really popular in the US, and they have a unique sound of their own. If at all, they want to connect to a bigger by (touring with another band) audience and a band close to their style, they should tour with Mae or Switchfoot.

Wtf?

So what? That's a good thing.

No, I mean the more bands that sound unique from the other band on the bill touring together the better. Broadening your horizons and shit.

Huh. Oh my god. I never knew that, you mean when bands tour they are suppose to sound different to be a better performance? I guess I never knew that. Apologies. :)

Not exactly, but it's nice if the band opening the night are a little different from the band closing the night.

For example, when I saw Municipal Waste a few years ago (a hardcore punk/thrash band) they had metal bands opening for them, but metals a very, very broad genre so it was a mish-mash of different styled bands. If I remember correctly they had some death metal outfit on first then a band called MISTRESS (rest in peace :() who were a really kickass sludgy/grind band. It was pretty varied, basically, and that's what I prefer at gigs.

Don't get me wrong, a band doesn't need to be unique to be good, and I've seen hundreds of support bands that sounded the same as the next band on and I've still enjoyed them, but if I could take one over the other I'd take the gigs that had 3 or 4 completly different bands playing.
