My half-life story synopsis

first off ill say that i never played blue shift, so i dont know whats going on there. i also dont remember barney....AT ALL.
THE BEGINNING:

The lambda sector at BM was researching teleportation, Before the resonance cascade(rc) happened, they had already developed the technology, and had already been to xen. (dr. breen, being the admin for the project, may have already been infested. The combine or whatever infested him may have been to earth long before the teleportation was even existant. The teleportation technology was already known by the combine, and the infested breen created a portal to xen. (explained later why he made a portal to there)) That is where the "sample" material that freeman put into the test chamber came from.

At this time, portals opened all over earth to outside planets universes ect, not only to xen. (explains the other aliens in opFor) during this time, a portal to the combine world opened, and a parasite infested dr.breen. (scenario #2)

Gordan freeman, with his HEV suit and badass crowbar, went around whacking stuffs until he finally killed the Niholath(sp) creature who had been in controll of the vorgunaughts(sp again, sorry). The vorgunaughts, being disbanded from thier control, were free to do what they wished. Gordan freeman was thier "liberator" i suppose. they remember the lives of thier peple he took, but understand why it was done.

G-man warps gordan into space/time, and gives him a choice. Gordan freeman decides to become an employee of the g-mans, and is struck into space/time.

BETWEEN THEN AND NOW:
breen being infested and creating the portal to xen, also planned for the resonance cascade to happen. breen, ebing notably abscent from the entire lambda section in HL1, mustve left the area and took shelter already, either that or he ported out. The "portal storm" as they call it occoured, and aliens were all over the earth. The combine wanted this to happen, xen is a tool of thiers, this also explains why nihilath was part of the benefactors. People flocked to cities and walled themselves in, which is exactly what the combine wanted.
The combine then set thier coordinates, and poofed thier massive structures int0 the major cities. The war began, and ended shortly after, 7 hours later, earth surrendered, and dr. breen supposedly (or at least, what he tells the people) bargained with the combine and made it so the humans lived, at least for the time being. Dr.breen acts like a human, to keep general order among the people.
over the years, the combine takes over earth completely, and begins harvesting natural resources. The disregard for the human life causes them to pollute the atmosphere to the point of it being unbreathable. The combine, after realizing that they have missed a valuable resource (Humans) stop sucking up the natural resources, and start collecting humans. The air eventually fumes out and becomes breathable again. Also eli's uprising of rebels begins.

ENTER HALF LIFE 2:

Gordan is awaken from his space/time void, and teleported onto a train by g-man. The otehr passengers on the train comment that he "wasnt seen getting on". We can see that time has passed, by use of a few clues.
1. The whole atmosphere/combine takeover/xen human roundup.
2. Eli has aged, along with other scientists.
3. Eli's picture of his wife and daugter is clearly different then now. His daughter is older now.
4. eli comments thats its been either years or ages since he has seen freeman.
We can see that gordan hasnt aged being in space/time becauseof the amount of people that say he hasnt changed one bit, and by teh hint when you spent an instant week within the teleporter at the prision.
The g-man is obviously using you for some "greater purpose" noting that "the right man, at the wrong time can make all the difference" implying that he has teleported you through time in order to accomplish something that otehrwise would have never happened.
gordan hacks his crowbar weilding badass self to the prision, where eli is teleported away to the citadel, while trying to teleport backto klieners lab, he spends a week lost in space/time before entering the otehr side of the portal. (G-man intended for him to stay in the portal for a week, so that the erath resistance could build up, and so gordan would have his chance to infiltrate the citadel)
Note that gordan didnt have some freak accident, or have some kind of chemical proporty that made him take a week to teleport. this is known because the original kliener teleport only took a few moments, and because of the multiple teleports in HL1.
Gordan makes his way to breens office, where he says that gordan works for whoever ha the highest bid. (indicating thatthere are many "greater forces" then what we know of.)
Breen runs, and you can hear him speaking over an intercom to the the combine saying that he cannot live in thier atmosphere, and that if he needs a new host body then so be it. breen tries to teleport back to the combine worls, but his attempts are failed and he died. Just as gordan freeman explodes the black energy core, and kills breen, the g-man stops time, and tells freeman that untill he needs him again, its time to sleep.

EXTRA OBSERVATIONS:
The combine do not have the technology for instant teleportation, showing that the g-man and his ability to manipulate the space/time continuim and teleport where he wants when he wants means he must be a different race of beings, other then the combine. maybe he is against the combine for one reason or another, and is using you as his pawn to help the greater cause. or perhaps he is just using his ability to manipulate time, for all the things to take place, and using gordan to fix anything that the passage of time cannot.

Adrian shepard is taken by the g-man, but he doesnt make an appearance in HL2, he may be floating around in time/ space, waiting for his hl3 debut, and as a backup incase of failure by freeman.

At the end of opfor, g-man explains how the xen have been taken care of. This explained why we dont see huge insane amounts of xen on earth, only the ones that had already made it through to earth.


If there are any plot holes to my summary please tell me and ill fill them in. I know ive missed some thing in my extra observations and my plot in general, but i cant remember what exactly. it took me so long to type this that ive forgotten a few things i was going to say heh
