My new little buddy (slight spoiler)

When we had to evacuate the area where Alyx and Gordon play with the gravity gun, I took the dog's ball with me.

Turns out that it follows you around!! The sniper guy shoots at it. Zombies try to attack it. It can't get up ladders, but I've used the GG to take it with me as far as I can.

Seems explosions "kill" it.

What a game!!

EDIT: New challenge, get it to the ending without spawning it

I'll make sure to save a special game to try to do that!

It makes a good distraction if there are a lot of zombies around.

When I got to that part my hand slipped while I was throwing the ball / roller mine thing to Dog and it flew very far away from the junkyard.

Dog turned to the side and started acting all sad and hit the ground and Alyx said something like "Ohhhh were's you ball Dog?" He then picked up a random object and chucked it at me.

Agreed, they gave an amazing amount of personality to a robot with nothing but a red circle with some pieces of metal sticking out of it for a head. :thumbs:
