Note: I would like you to know that my question is not one of spite,
but one that I hope will allow all of you to reflect on all that has led up to now. Also, I hope to influence certain choices, the powers that be (Valve, Viviendi), are to make during the current situation I and my fellow gamers are in. We wish with all are might to play Half-Life 2. To have it so close to our grasp, and still have it unattainable... In my opinion, Vivendi delaying the release of this game in the face of all the-profit they will make, reflects onto me some of the worst aspects of humanity. What Valve has toiled to produce will be
one of the best games, if not THE best, made in the history of games, and in my opinion... deserves no less of our favor than we would give the greatest works of art.
If, at this moment, Half-Life 2 were to be released, would it make up for all of the mistakes, made by any party involved in this game? Beginning first with the Year Long Delay, and working slowly along to the present?
