Need background info

Wassabi.

I am attempting to create a d20 Modern (D&D with guns, for the less-than-nerdy of you) game using the Half-Life 2 setting. Unfortunately, I am having trouble finding enough background information to really do the game credit. I figured I should contact the real fans, so here we are. Does anyone know where I can find the background info? I seem to remember hearing something about "The Seven Hour War," but I don't know what it is.

By the way, if anyone is interested in d20 Half Life, I can post a copy once I'm done. The rules for the gravity gun are pretty cool.

By the way much of what's on that fragfiles site is disputed, such as the Combine having controlled Xen. Don't take it as canon

Well, it's good enough to work for me. All I have to do is say that we're using it, and, as GM, we're using it. I love being God of my own tiny domain.
