Need help getting out of square water sewer.

I've fallen into this small square sewage somewhere towards the beginning of the game. When you fall into the room, there are guys right above you. They shoot you and drop flammable barrels on you. There seems to be an opening, but the ledge is right over my head and I cant get to it. Thanks in advance.

Don't know where I would get a picture from. I'm playing on the xbox 360. It's got to be really simple. I'm swimming in a small square room with two tunnels. Above me is an open grating where the guys have pushed barrels through. I really don't know how to explain in any better than this.

EDIT: I'm playing HL2. Didn't realize this forum was for the first and second game. Sorry.

I found this a bitch with a controller myself. You just have to get on top of one of the ledges and through the pipe (preferably not the one you came from... that one may be built higher anyway...). Crouch Jumping usually gives you a little boost.

Ok go to the Pipe one the side of the room - he one you didn't come in
You SHOULD be able to jump out of the water onto the small platform
