NEED HELP - *Possible Spoilers*

I'm in the "Following Freeman" portion of the game. I'm with Barney and we're in the building where you have to take down 3 generators. I've taken down 2 of them. But there is one I'm having a problem getting to. In my path to this generator is a room with a bunch of red trip lines. As soon as you trip them the doors shut and a bunch of turrets pop down from the ceiling and kick my butt. I don't know how to get through this room, can someone please help me with this? I know there is a switch by the Health Machine on the wall but when I press it nothing happens. Please help, I would like to get through this soon.

You have to press the button before you trip the lasers. Heres a hint, try jumping from ledges and pipes and things to avoid the lasers.

Thanks man, I got through there no problem. Now all I gotta do is beat that damn strider in the tunnel.
