This is gonna sound real stupid, but how do you update your drivers? Please tell me, im borderline desperate to play HL2.

I have a Intel Pentium 4 M
512 MB RAM
mobility radeon 9000 video card
directX 9.0c
and I play on a inspiron 600m notebook from Dell.

Was able to play the demo on LOW settings.

You can download latest Mobility Radeon drivers here:

I don't think you need to uninstall anything first, but if you have any problems after updating drivers, try DriverCleaner (a nice program that clears all sings of drivers) in safe mode, restart your computer (will start up in VGA mode) and then install the new drivers again.

Usually, you should uninstall the control panel before installing updated drivers. If you are using Control Center, there is no need to uninstal it.

ps - I've played the game on an Athlon XP 2000+ with 512MB memory and a Radeon 9000 64MB and the game was pretty smooth on medium settings. It was also playable on high (all possible details maxed), but there were some slow-downs sometimes.

i cant update my drivers cos they're a mobile ati card
*cry

You should be able to update your Mobile Radeon drivers normally, just like the dekstop Radeons. You just need to find "Mobility" drivers on the ATI website...

It saying that i can download it for my system

CAN ANYONE FIND THE EXACT LINK TO UPGRADE THIS PARTICULAR VIDEO CARD!!!

Mobility radeon 9000 32.0 MB RAM for the inspiron 600m notebook

PLEASE HELP ME

Dude. Even if you could set it up to work with HL2, it would be choppy and laggy as hell. It's an old video card, plus it has only 32 MB!

Not sure about this, but can't you use Omega Drivers with Mobility Radeon cards?

Hey guys, just wanna say thanks for makin an effort to help me, unfortunatley, im gettin a new desktop in a couple of days to play, just wanna say thanks!
