New Batman Begins pictures!!!

I gotta admit, that is beginning to look like it could be a really decent movie. I am sooooooooo soo happy they appear to be going the dark Burton route of the first movie and not the god awful dayglo screwedup styles that came after Batman returns.

Still a little unsure about the batmobile, i don't think any could beat the one from the Burton films.

heh yeah.. I wonder though if at the end it'll get replaced with the better one, has to change to that one at some point. I'd imagine.

I like the look of the movie. Who's directing it by the way?

Also, the new Batmobile is growing on me. And judging from the locales that we've seen so far, Batman's likely not to use it in the city as much as he will off-road.

I'm loving most of the cast...but I dunno...Katie Holmes could manage to screw it up.

I dunno I think she'll be ok in it and there's plenty of good talent in there aswell, unlike the johnny bravo movie, this one has a casting director who knows what their doing heh.

It's directed by Christopher Nolan, the guy who did Memento, I think, having the Batmobile look like that makes sense when you look at the story, though, he's using pretty much all tech that's put out by Wayne Industries, and the Batmobile is an armored vehicle they designed that he just painted black, same with the batsuit, it's an armored suit he slightly modified and painted black, it all works together nicely
And if nothing else, the cast is f*cking amazing, that is a helluva lot of talent in one movie

That sounds pretty interesting, looking forward to seeing it.

But I imagine he'd have done more than slightly modified the batsuit, unless wayne industries are putting out armored suits that have ears and look like bats, could be pretty strange on the battlefield hehe.

Well, I would imagine the bat ears are a modification, but the rest is pretty much straight

Well, i guess that's one way to explain why Batman will be raging aroudn the streets of Gotham, busting crims and dishing out justice in a Monster truck :p

I still can't wait for the movie, batmobile aside, it's gonna to be a blast. And will hopefully resurect the franchise that Joel *Horrendous surname* crapped all over.

Anyone know who the bad guy will be? I'm guessing if its trying for better "realism" it wont be some unbelievable one like the Riddler or Mr Freeze ended up being

It's Scarecrow and *Time for more awful spelling* Rha sha ghoull (Yes, i know, thats wrong :p).

I know Scarecrow is a definate, but i don't if they decided on RSG, don't remember seeing anything on it.

Can't wait to see how they portray Scarecrow.

ahaa excellent, just read the blurb on the link and it does sound like it could be really really good :D:D:D

Scarecrow is a creepy villian, and the whole psychological trauma that he brings would mesh well with Bruce Wayne becoming Batman.

And here's another look at him in toy form:

It's interesting that Hasbro never released this guy because they felt it was too scary for children.

With a villian like this, the movie sounds even better. :D

Perfect villain imo. I am just wondering what direction they are going to take his costume in, there's so many versions.

I just caught a glimpse of the Scarecrow while watching one of the trailers, and it looks like they're going with the old Scarecrow costume. I couldn't get a screengrab, but this is the best picture I could find that shows what he looks like:

scarecrow9le.jpg

While searching I also found some concept art that could be for the movie. It looks like they could be merging the two costumes together (original Scarecrow and the corpse Scarecrow). I couldn't tell from the small, dark trailer clip, but this could be possible that he looks like this too (without the hat).

that tank is the new batmobile? wow

and who is that scarecrow? well I never read batman too

For those of you wanting to know more about the Scarecrow:

Jonathan Crane was interested in the study of human fears and phobias ever since he was a child. Nicknamed the "Scarecrow" as a teenager, Crane was bullied and chastised for his scrawny appearance. The boys would call him Icabod Crane, for his resemblance to the fictional character. Crane loved the character, except when he came upon the part when Icabod is disgraced by his nemesis. He was outraged by the fear that overwhelmed Icabod and swore to never expose his fears to a bully.

Crane was a Professor of Psychology at Gotham State University until his experiments in fear became too dangerous. He lost his job due to his obsession with inspiring terror in his patients and students. Crane turned to a life of evil and used various drugs, chemicals, devices, and his expertise in psychology to terrify whomever crossed his path. He took the name "Scarecrow" which the bullies gave him as a boy, and would use it to become one of the most feared criminals in Gotham.

The Scarecrow has been known to pollute Gotham's water supply with his fear toxins, infect professional athletes with his chemicals, then bet against their teams for the money to fund his evil experiments. He even had one of his henchmen spray Batman with his toxin, in the hope of driving him mad with fear. A sick and twisted man, his ultimate goal of crippling Gotham State University was foiled by Batman. He was sentenced to Arkham Asylum where he became even more dangerous by gaining criminal contacts with the likes the Mad Hatter, who also shares a sick interest in various types of mind control. These contacts would aid him in his quest to bring Gotham and Batman to it's knees with fear.

His first comic appearence was in Worlds Finest Comics #3, Fall 1941.
