New fans

I just sent HL2 and EP1 to a friend of mine as gifts. He has an old machine and was afraid of performances. At this moment he is telling me that HL2 runs smooth and fine on his outdated pc, and he thinks that the game has awesome graphics. Developing games paying attention to mid-range machines is bringing new fans to Valve.
Take this and consider the care devoted to gameplay to realize how computer games have to be developed.

I was afraid of the same thing. But then i found out it played a lot smoother than i thought.

But now i got myself a kickass compy and it doesn't matter.

<3 Valve for actually thinking about the players, rather then the graphics alone.

Graphics-Schmaphics, Source engine still has the best visuals i have seen so far.
