New HL2 Mod - Zombie Storm - Accepting Staff Applications

Original Idea: This could be either single or multiplayer, the latter probably being the most fun. Ok, so here's the idea: You and 9 other teammates have five minutes to prepare for a tidal wave of zonbies. Use the manipulator gun to position barracades, collect ammunition and weapons, stockpile pressurized containers and explosive barrels. Get to your positions. After the five minute countdown is passed a large ammount of zombies ae spawned out of sight and they all attempt to kill your team. The maps would be a narrow street with perhaps a few enterable buildings for good vantage points. The zombies would be funneld down the street and through your barricades. Each player has one life, if you die, you stay deadd for theat round. The game ends when either the entire player team is dead, or when all the zombies are dead. I have no HL2 modding experience so this would be entirely up to other people. I dought it would be very hard as it would not need anything new made for it except one or two maps.

I am requesting experienced members of the community to volunteer as staff members, all help is appreciated, but permanante members of the team are even more so. For the mod to go any further we must have:

-A Programmer with previous programming experience with the Source engine and abilities with the SDK.

-A Moddel Creator with previous experience I editing and creating high quality models in any moddeling program (3ds Max, Rhino, SDK) and the conversion for use with HL2.

-A Map Maker with previous experience in creating and comleting high quality maps for HL2.

I will post similar advertisments on other forums but please volunteer even if you do think someone may have done so before you. We must have proof of previous experience before we can excpet you on the team. Sounds like a great mod. Hope you get some people in it to create it.
 
sounds good, but i think 5 minutes sounds too much as time to organize. If you make it one minute, then the feeling of panic will be much stronger... just a thought.
 
what the heck do you need a programmer for? All you would have to do is make a map with a logic_timer, an npc_maker, and a starting game message. This sounds more like a map or two then a mod. Also, if you have no experience, how do you plan on leading a team? Just wondering. The idea itself sounds fun, so good luck with that. I'd help, but my maps are still noob-level. :thumbs:
 
Can be made for svencoop 2 when that comes out.
Just ask for a map maker to create it.
Shouldnt be too hard.
 
yes, that would be great if it wasn't already being DONE. look up the mod no room in hell.. you basically described the exact type of gameplay it will have.
 
Well The Idea Itself Is Very Well Thought Up, Making It Should Be Rather Simple, I Wish You Best Of Luck With Your Mod I Can't Wait To See It When It's Finished.
 
no coders needed. make maps, compile them, put it in a mod change gameinfo and libgist or whatever its called and that chemplayer list or whatever to your mod name then TADDAAAA!

Done.
