Iv always heard about people playing half life and counter strike. i finally became more interested in it, so then i downloaded half life 2. "im just gunna buy a legit/real copy of the game". It says that its "nonsteam". what does this mean? does this mean that i cant play multiplayer? I also tried to install goldeneye source, but couldnt get it to work. im guesing its because half life 2 is "nonsteam".

overall, how can i start to play online? how can i install these mods/ goldeneye source? what exatcly do i need? and what exactly is the "stream" software? it would be awsome if you guys can help a future gamer out!

thanks a bunch!!

sigh you shall be banned. the program is called steam not "stream". "steam" is used to download games that are made or produced by valve. if you say you don't know what steam is then you must have illegally downloaded it resulting in a response GTFO OR BUY THE DAMN GAME!!!! don't come to this forum asking for help when you pirated a game.

He didn't knowingly pirate it... according to him.

Yea, cause that makes all the difference.

"You killed someone!"
"But I didn't do it KNOWINGLY!"
"Okay, you're off the hook"

It just doesn't work that way anymore. ;(

Bullshit. You KNOW you stole a game if you have it and didn't pay for it.

Chris21908:

TAKE YOUR PIRACY QUESTIONS SOMEWHERE ELSE DICKHEAD.

Pirate = you are not welcome here I'm afraid.

Although if you want to play online, play all the free mods, get free continual updates buying the game is hugely reccommended, after all that comes just with the use of Steam. Which you can download from steampowered.com. It's all very simple, and you've missed out big time pirating this game. Goodbye.
