Next contest!

Those topics are all very.... "interesting".... But I think it would be best to choose a subject with more variety, that can appeal to a wide array of forum users, as well as test their skill. Don't get me wrong-I've got nothing against... er... "Ninja space pirates"... I'm just thinking in ways that will benefit the contest ;)
 
We need something subtle and vague. Like name something, and we must draw it. It can't be exact, or definite, but a non-existing form, an abstract noun. However, to do that would be surreal - already done.
 
We could try to draw distortion. Like, looking through a diamond.

What about a competition where someone says a saying, any saying. But it dosen't have a litteral meaning, like "It's raning cats and dogs" for example. Then, the competitors would draw that saying to make it litteral. So they would draw cats and dogs falling from the sky.

It's raining cats and dogs is not a good saying to use though.
 
Ever hear of the Fantasy 100? It's a list of short entries and you're supposed to draw whatever comes to mind when you read a specific one.

That would have to be reworked to become a contest, so I suppose a thread might be more appropriate for that. We could just pick one entry or a set of them for a contest though.
 
My 'turn metaphors into a litteral sense' idea is... Okay...
 
we could narrow the selection down to a character on HL2.
 
I believe we should stick to something that's not HL2-related, but again, maybe that would be fun.... :naughty:
