I type it in all the time. It's faster than scrolling down the long list of servers.

Oh and btw, if youre gonna post an ip to a server, it might help if you let us know what area the server is running in....ie los angeles

An easy way to get IPs from the internet on to your server browser.
In the item tray click on the steam icon, go to servers, go to favorites, right click, add server by IP address, copy and paste.

Not that hard.
