No Error 1305 resolution for HL2 installation

Well folks, all I have to say is, if your having problems installing HL2 even after trying to follow the instuctions supplied by Sierra, then your going to have to return your game for a replacement and hope it works. Basically, I've tried all the suggestions supplied to me from on line Sierra help. I even tried using my secondary DVD R/W Player without resolution. I'm sure that the retailers for this game are going to be in for a bad experience when people start returning the game to hopefully obtain a functional replacement. :angry:

no. i wont return that game....and anyway, if we all report this error to sierra, they will certainly make a patch or something to correct that...

oh...just red that the cd is probably corrupt...if someone here did return the game because of this error and it now works, plz post here
