In response to: ATI/AMD is back on top with the 3870 X2

Looks like NVIDIA did go the way to a dual-chip high-end card. Wasn't expecting that. Oh well, neither the 9800 GX2 nor the 3870 X2 is really a consideration unless you're willing to pay hundreds of extra dollars just to play Crysis at max settings at 1920x1200. It's just a matter of being king of the hill again.

Is it really necessary to post a thread about a thread? Why not just post in the other ?_?

ohh, and btw, http://www.shopstormcomputer.com/ssproduct.asp?pf_id=1011104812 (period)

:D

(That other one is still better though... damnit...)

I didn't want to resurrect the old thread, especially as its title is now a false statement. This isn't a thread about that thread; it's a thread about a new card, but I think it's appropriate to point back to the "AMD wins the crown" thread from the "NVIDIA gets the crown back" thread.

Arg bastard lol I just bought an HD3870 x2 :p

Oh well

EDIT: Wait the 9800 X2 is actually just two 8800 GPU's? I thought it had 2 GPU's of the new technology :|

Back on top? I thought they've been on top for ages. :P

A thread about a thread is evolution. To launch Crysis at max settings is priceless.
