In the bad news today.
If you have a check in the FAQ on the official website, it seems that the Construction Set will not be shipping with the PC version, instead it will be made avaible later as a seperate download, that means that modders will have to wait a while before they can start integrating their ideas into the game.

yay! 19 days seems a long way off ...and my wow subscription ended day before yesterday ..I need a rpg fix now

reviews should be coming soon ..any predictions? I say Gamespy gives it a 94%, IGN gives it a 99.999%, gamespot gives it a 84% (pc version only ..360 gets a 98%) and everyone else averages 90%
 
Cool, I just started Morrowind so hopefully I'll have it beat (doubt it though)so I can move onto Oblivion.
 
I never got into Morrowind, but i think I'll get this one :)

It should be free--they always have been in the past, and not just with these guys. Hopefully it wil be sooner rather than later though. I am already itching to create! Great great news!
 
It's good news, but why don't they just go ahead and release it? Their just going to be waiting about a month and the game is already complete. I think it's kinda stupid.
 
Finally pre-ordered it, since I have no game shops near me. I place all of my hopes in 1-day shipping.
 
And luckly for me, my local EB is really close to a distribution center, so I get it on the 20th.

the official plugins will not be free anymore but bought from Bethesda(hopefully they'll be bigger though)

also I'm a bit wary of developer strategies after it turned out that Anet(guildwars) is preying on loyal customers rather than rewarding them.:flame:

They do have to actually produce and ship them you know. They don't magically appear in the store rooms of your local game store when it goes gold :)
 
Tbh, if you could multiplayer your own server's with a game like this, I think that would be interesting.

To quote the developers themselves, Elder Scrolls have always been about deep engaging single player and always will be.:)
I doubt we'll ever see a MP ES game, unless ofcourse Bethesda gets bought up by EA/Ubisoft xD

I know what you mean. Waiting for this game is seriously starting to take a toll on my mental health.

The game has just gone "gold" which basically means the content of the game is final, with no tweaks going to be made to it. They have a "gold" disk which they are going to make mass copies of in the following week. That whole process takes about 2 weeks (hence why its basically 2 weeks from now). So while the game may have been finished, the production of everything required to sell (game disk, boxes, shipping etc) takes awhile. A lot of games take more than 2 weeks from the day they go gold, so the fact that they are going it so quickly should make you happy.

Oh, and seeing as how I have been waiting for this game for >1yr I have had my Collector's Edition preordered since before October of last year (hehe, I was optimistic about them making their Holidays 2005 release date). All I can say is WOOTGASM!!

yeah, kinda sucks not being able to get it absolutely same day, but one day different won;t be so bad... yeah internet!
 
I will have to wait until about 9 days after it's release before I can play it, but oh well - that's life. I might try selling some games on ebay.
 
woot, it's coming out this month!

Too bad my comp will hardly be able to run it, but that won't stop me from getting it
 
just preordered, fantastic news :) Although the week after its released im away on a university trip, i have 2 weeks off after that :D
