October release date?

Has anyone seen the "Get Into The Game" section of the ATI website(link) recently? It's got a little HL2 logo with October written underneath it. Sorry to waste a thread (not like anyone's going to run out though), but I couldn't find a related topic by searching. Took a screenshot too, incase the dastards changed it.

Just another release date I'm afraid. I don't see why ATI should have a date before any vendors seeing as the HL2 coupon is past them now.

ATI and Valve are pretty close I think. They've sponsored all the Source demos that Valve have done (to my knowledge). Plus they have that coupon deal. I dunno, I just think ATI are the most likely people to have inside info at the moment.

I wonder whose job it is to make up those box designs. Someone at Valve, or Vivendi?
Maybe that's the only thing they do, and they're contracted in and drift from game to game, publisher to publisher. Sorry, thinking too hard on that one.

In fact, they are the official ones as far as we know.

At E3 last year, Valve had four boxes on display. A similar one to that with Gordon on it, one with Alyx and one with G-Man. The fourth was silver.

I think we already discussed this some time ago, and we came to the conclusion that it says october 2003, not october 2004. It was the start of the HL2 get into the game campaign with the XT presentation on the 30th of september. Also, october is on the left of march, in the timebar, which suggests that it's before march, not after.

Actually, now I look at it the box design is a very similar style to the Ground Control 2 one, which has also recently been changed. I guess it is VUG then?

The october they are referring to has also passed so i think it's safe to say you needn't worry.
