"Offline Mode" = Steam

Question.....

As im in an area without internet, i took my comp to a friends house to plug it in for awhile just to get Steam updated so i could get back into HL2 some more.

But after the update on 13 May it wont let me run HL2 in Offline Mode. Properties on HL2 say its only 99% complete and needs to be updated!!!

Anyone else have this problem??

Seems you havent fully updated since you went round your friends. Perhaps you only have half of some of the fixes. Have you played HL2 since you got it back? I dont see how steam in offline mode would know there was an update without an internet connection. If its the case you havent played since taking it round your friends then you need to repeat this process in order to get it to 100%, by when you'll be able to play.
