What the... I just brought up Half-Life after a while to replay the ending and hear what the G-Man had to say again and noticed that all my saved games were gone since I had to install Steam! That's just beautiful!

Pfft, gayness. Anyone know if there's a way to get them back or what?

Depending on howfar back you last had the game working. Try a system restore if you have XP.

Open console and type sv_unlockedchapters 15
That will unlock all the Chapters in the New Game window so that you can just start from the last level instead of playing through the whole game.

I JUST played through the game again right before I got Half-Life 2, lmao. I never got around to Steam and didn't really like CS BEFORE Steam came around. Meh. I'll probably unlock chapters.
