I'm not sure if this goes in this forum or not but here it goes.Ok i just beat it and i have a question on the ending like what does it mean? I have no clue what that guy was talking about and why it ended like that. And also I never got a chance to play the first half-life so who is that guy in the beggining of the game and the end?

any info is greatly appreciated

You wouldn't ask if you played the first HL ;).

Cliffhanger endings are HL style. Generally, the games are in such a pretty vague style. That guy in the suit is referred to as the G-Man, although it's not his actual name.

Short info on him: in HL1, you see him in various places throughout the game, but he always disappears when you try to reach him. When HL1 ends, you meet the G-Man, and he says that you have impressed him and that he will offer you a job. He says nothing about the job, but says that you have two options, to accept it or to die. If you refuse, the G-Man indeed kills you. If you accept, you just go into some sort of stasis, and know nothing more until HL2.

No one knows who the G-Man really is. The HL2 ending can generally be taken to mean that you have done what the G-Man wanted you to, and that's why he removes you until your next assignment, or something. He's your employer, after all.

By the way, there's this Singleplayer Mythology forum here which is the place for threads on the story, the ending, the G-Man, and such things.

Anything else :)?

Solver hit it more-or-less on the button. However, if you are looking for some Half-Life story and background info, I have found this to be a very useful site to clear things up for me. http://members.shaw.ca/halflifestory/
