I really encourage you to play through, I keep finding new things that are both endearing (in the case of Alyx), fun, and artistically impressive

Must admit I missed that first time as well. Well maybe I saw but only after completing the episode and reading the forums did I now 'see' it.

I am currently on my 2nd play through and am doing it with the commentry on. Kinda cool me thinks.

I have a habit not remembering (what I think at the time are) small details. I just figured it was some thing that came through, and not that it was some foreshadowing of the next episode.

Yes. You can noclip through the wall to get to the place where Judith is. But the hunter doesn't have any animations. Atleast, I think not.
