? on offline crashing

ok here we go...i just got a new computer with an 3400+ AMD Atholon 64 processor, 512 ram, and 200 gigs of space, and there isnt much on it but when playing the game it runs fine...untill I get to this one part then it goes blank and restarts my computer. thats the only time its ever done it and it had no problems till then. so if anyone has any sugesstions then that would help cause it took so long to accually get the game running, so it really sucks now that i can't play.

Hmmm.... if the PC actually restarts do you get a Windows Error Report dialog after it has restarted? If you do you might be getting a blue screen, but XP has them turned off by default, so the PC just restarts.

Can't remember how to turn them back on, but googling it should tell you. Also if you get a error report does Microsofr give you any feedback (I had something like this a while back, except it did not crash at one specific point, just randomly. Was down to knackered RAM, but you need to see the blue screen to get an idea of what it is.)

all it tells me to do is things ive already done like changing the shadowing and lowering the graphix

It could be your PSU. It coudl be getting to hot thus your computer restarts so it dosn't fry.
Microsoft probably told you to lower your settings so it dosn't get hot but maybe the PSU is just crap and gets hot anyway.
