Anybody else like me, in that they can only concentrate on one game at a time?

For instance, right after getting BF2 and spending about an hour or two ingame, Qonfused asked if i'd play CSS with him. I joined in with him, and what do you know, I suck. Balls. I keep trying to press Z, throwing grenades like they're the devils rain, I was playing CSS BF2 style.

It's like this with all games I play. I couldn't go and play Red Faction right after I had gotten GTAIII, couldn't play Joint Ops TR after I had installed TDS, and now, I got Oblivion, and for the love of god, you couldn't ****ing make me start up BF2.

I have to concentrate my attention on one game. I get engrossed in it, and when I start playing another, I play as if i'm playing the other game. I swear, it's either I play a game, or I don't.

If I buy a game and like it, but also like another game I already had, well, I won't be touching the other game for a while. Not till i'm satisfied with the new one.

Likewise, if I buy a new game and hate it, then i'm never playing again. Simple as that. I won't ever give it another chance, because I HAVE to give it my all, which I don't WANT to do.

Am I just wierd?

I don't know - in the general sense of things i'll only play a game at a time much like I wouldn't read 2 or 3 books at once anymore (yes I used to do that :()
But on the other hand I will fire up CSS for half an hour before firing up BF2 to improve my reaction time and infantry killing ability....

Yeah, I know what your saying.
Im switching between Half Life, Battlefield 2 and Joint Ops, and I find that Im often pressing the wrong keys to do things.

For example, I press c or Ctrl all the time in Joint Ops to crouch, as those are the usual crouch functions, but crouch in Joint Ops is x. And then I cant stand up, I cant find the key.

Joint Ops really has complex key mapping.

You're not weird for it at all sinko, I'm exactly the same. Recently I picked up Batman Begins for a fiver on the Gamecube, but I can't focus on it because I'm still not satisfied with not having finished Oblivion.

I don't see anything wrong with it, after all - playing one at a time can only help your engrossment.

I'm exactly the same. And it's very frustrating !! I have oblivion, and it's great, but every time i boot up my pc, i click on the "steam" button and end up playing css.... so i end up playing parts of most games and never finishing them !!

I kept pressing "E" to jump in Natural Selection after playing a game of Oblivion. :(

Yeah, I can't play more than one game at a time or else I usually suck in both

Although I always suck a CSS

Hahaha and I thought that was only me stupid enough to do that :P What's worse is that I keep on hitting Caps Lock to see where all the 'Enemy Spotted' are ..

D:

The too hit Z a lot when I fire up CSS, it's just natural reaction now and takes me a good bit to get used to. I end up being shocked and confused for that split second then I realize 'oh wrong game, hehe' and usually I'm either dead or the other guy is.

I'm a one game at a time person. Right now that game is Metroid Prime Hunters for the DS. I haven't touched the PC for ages. I won't go near another game until I finish or get bored with Metroid. Right now it looks like boredom will come before finishing the game. I do use Brain Age too, but I don't really call that a game.

Takes effort for me to change too D:

Gotta take time after Obli or Warhammer 40K to play BF2...it can be tough sometimes

Oh, and if i pop on CSS i just die :D

yeah true, if i played cs:s now i'd get absolutely pwnt, i'd forget the map choke points and just play generally nooby, i'd mixup the controls etc...

i remember when mgs3 came out for ps2 here, i hadnt played a ps2 game in ages and just getting used to the controller again was hard.

I have no problem switching games. For a while I was switch from CoD 2 to Fear to Quake 4. The only problem is that I suck at them all.

I always edit the controls so there similar and work well.
For example, in ALL my games with crouch, the button will be c.

Yeah, I do that too. I setup the controls the same on all my fps games, well at least I try. There still are problems though, for instance after playing loads of Far Cry and FEAR I played UT only to find myself constantly hitting the "reload" button, and UT doesn't have reload on weapons.

I do that, sometimes, like after I played dungeon siege 2 I'd go to play a FPS with my thumb on z and fingers on numbers 1-4. But I fix myself after maybe two seconds. Other than that, I try to keep all the controls to my games as close as possible.

Single player games i play the day they come out beat them then move on. Mp Games i play like 10 at once np.

I understand. Right now ive been trying to play Oblivion but cant while im already wrapped up in Fable:lost chapter. But I can ALWAYS play CSS
