Opposing Force connection with Half life 2

RAMBO-PM makes a good point about opposing force, in my opinion i blieve the Black ops agents (Apparently called Race-X on here?) are part of a combine recon force tasked with the investigation of the events unfolding at black mesa and for trail reasons. I believe the black ops agents were sent to black mesa to test how well combine soldiers fair against Human soldiers such as the Marines sent in to black mesa. This would play a valuable role in the coming invasion of Earth by the combine. It is safe to say that the black ops agents are superior to the marines sent in with the exception of the main charecter Adrian Shepard. They are also tasked with the destruction of the facility (adrian shuts off the nuke about to go in the garage), possibly to close an opened portal, or maybe to keep the events secret to gain a strategic advantage? I dunno this is just my lame theory.

1) The combine soldiers are "enhanced" humans.
2) Race-X Is infact the combine - the slug entity you see on Breen's television (In his office)
3) Yeah, the Black-Ops are more skilled than the marines... because they have had more training.

RaceX were the Shocktroopers and related aliens.

tbh the geneworm (end of game boss) looked less like the advisor than nihilanth did.

Don't think that RaceX are the combine. Not even sure if valve have factored them into the storyline. Which is a pity, as the shock roach was one of the coolest sounding weapons in HL.

As for the black ops, don't agree that they are combine, as the marines new them, so unless the US marines KNOW about the combine (and by the marines, i mean the grunts, not the brass) then the black ops CAN'T be combine.

Race-X are not the Combine and have no great significance in the main HL storyline.

I agree that race X aren't the combine. They act more anti-combine if you ask me, attacking the Garg and not using any technology whatsoever. I think they're Xen's resistance.
