Orange Box Question please help!

I just bought the Orange Box. I have a problem. For HL2 and Portal, I can't play multiplayer with it. I also don't have CS Source, and don't know how to get it. My cousin bought the original HL2 and he was able to play multiplayer HL2 and CS Source. How do I fix this?

The Orange Box does not come with Half-Life 2: Deathmatch or Counter-Strike: Source. You'll have to buy those separately. Your cousin has them because they came with Half-Life 2.

yup there are many different packages. i could have sworn that ati and nvidia owners get hl2 deathmatch for free now. there is also tf2 which is lots of fun.

ATi owners were getting HL2: Deathmatch and Lost Coast, but I don't know if they still are. This was certainly the case last August, but since then Portal: First Slice has been released for nVidia owners, so I'm not sure whether the Lost Coast/Deathmatch offer was withdrawn.

Your cousin was able to play CSS and HL2eathmatch because they were bundled in the original package. They aren't together anymore, so you're going to have to buy them seperately

What's wrong with TF2? Much better than CSS IMHO. But yeah, you have to buy CSS seperately, with Garrys Mod is how I bought it.

You'll need to purchase Counter-Strike: Source, as for that does not come included with The Orange Box.

As for Half-Life 2: Deathmatch and Half-Life 2: Lost Coast, there are both an nVidia and ATI promotions out there for them.
