As seen in this video, (near the ending bits), it is apparently possible to paint zombies with paint cans. Now, I have tried doing this but I have never been able to. In fact, I was under the impression it was impossible, with the current Source engine rules (I remember reading about it from the Valve emails section in the main site.)

It then occured to me that this might just be because I have a really sucky video card, and my settings aren't high enough. So, to other people with better video cards... is it possible to paint zombies as shown in the video?

Okay. Thanks. Does it apply only for zombies, or can soldiers and antlions be painted on as well?

I dont think so about the soldiers and antlions.

I can't say that I've tryed with Soldiers or Antions... the novelty wore off after I painted a whole laundry (and it's washing machines and zombies) white. I mostly use the paint to mark my saw blades, so as I don't lose them.

I believe you can paint all the NPCs including soldiers and antlions.

I think there are two different shades of white. One with a grey tint and one with a blue tint.

All it does is add a paint splotch decal to the model. I fail to see how it would be impossible. And I have done it in Ravenholm.

You can also paint soldiers with paint cans. In Episode One I painted Elite soldier with blood of his comrade! I have no idea how...

ya you can paint anything with the paint can. all it does is release the decal which attaches to whereever the paint can hits.
