I have been wondering how the G-man is paid for Gordan's services. We have no indication that the resistance has a giant pool of money lying around (Scrooge McDuck style), or that the G-man, as a master of time and space, alien, being from another dimension etc. would have any use for mere cash. So it seems that the resistance bartered for Gordon, but with what we're not sure. Or that Breen and The G-man are lying, but why?

Also how do the people of C-17 get fresh watermelon in the middle of Europe?

No one is paid. I think people get the minimum of food just enough to survive until the combine send them on their planet. (Am I right?)

I don’t think he is "Paid" With any traditional form of wealth... Money or the like... What the hell would he need with that? I think the G-man is probably wise enough to know that there is more to life then physical wealth. Or perhaps uncle scrooge is his Benefactor!
