Just thought I'd let everyone know that Planet Half-Life has a VST video now, 640x480 and 99.7 MB. I'm still waiting in line (on fileplanet :hmph:) to get it and the time pretty much stays at 30 min wait so I don't know how good it is. Link

I'm at 2 minutes right now....

Doo doo dum dee dum.

EDIT: Downloading now. :D Seems to be 102.1 megs though.

once you got it, upload it somewhere you don't have to get in line ;)

Hyperjag3, have you heard of filemirrors.net? You take a filename and paste it into the filemirrors search thing, and it'll give you direct links to the downloads without lines if it is available on other sites. (I do this to avoid waiting in lines like on gamespot). If it's a popular file, that's the sweetest way to go.

Is it supposed to be slow in the beginning? Didn't seem that way back in 2003.

EDIT: Oh wait, shouldn't have played it in WinZip. :upstare:

Whoa, don't even bother downloading that, it's really not an interesting demo.

LOL, one voter has voted for 1 star. why is it too bad ?

Are you always this negative about every thing?
I totally agree with him, it's not at all interesting if you've see the E3 2003 demo stuff, one of the early ones with the rotating blocks with various effects.

no, it's stuff from 2003... and most people can run the VST themselves :hmph:

I just watched it, and it isn't really that interesting, but I still think it was worth the download (or maybe I'm just really bored :p).

I tried filemirrors.com with a few file names and it didn't find anything, but I will try it in the future.

I like the VST video.

It would make a good screen saver if I could just figure out how to do it.

Dsrg that last. I forgt it is Divx compressed so it wont work. sorry.

Thanks anyway Aknot.

Someone else have any thoughts?

EDIT: I'm trying the RAD Video Tools to see if it works. Here's hoping.

Ok I just made the screen saver (with Screensavermaker), but there's a silly window that appears in the middle that won't go away until I register the product.

Looks pretty good considering the size.

EDIT: PM sent. :O

I'd imagine watching a video of the test is considerably less exciting than watching it in engine on your computer.

Watch it in "Real player"

i use that to take screen caps of music videos normaly played in media player.
