Here is a list of video cards.
I have a 9600Pro 256 and want to get something better.

I basically want to get the cheapest card that is better and want to spend under $300. Prices are from Australia.

What do you think - or should i wait 3 months?

Hm... £121($300 AUD), that's a pretty low budget...

The best card imo is the one i have, which costs $825 AUD - But i'd say it's best if you save up for a better one...

9800 Pro Sapphire 128 MB should do the trick. Worth the money for the perfomance your getting. Unlike the your X800 or 6800GT which has power but not worth its price.

well, power is worth the price... but I recommend that you stick with ur currently owned video card. its cool...

stick with ur card for atleast another gen of cards its still a good card

Well, for $330 you can get a 6600GT :) Probably the best deal around, though it is sad you cannot get a 256 Mb model :( What is your PC Specs anyhowz..

Hmm, I cant really make sense of that list, since I don't know the value of asutralian money. Anyway, as far as I can tell the 9800 pro is the best card for you money ($200 american).

Nope... A Geforce 6600 GT will dust the crap out of a 9800 pro OR XT at any point. You can find the 6600 GT in both AGP and PCI-E (depending on your motherboard choice), but the performance will be about the same in either card. And you can get them for around $200.00 too, plus they support pixel shader 3.0, which ATI cards do not.

yeap.. 6600gt wins hands down its the best price/performance combo you can get

Agreed. I was looking at getting a 6800 GT AGP, but for the same price, I got both a PCI-E 6600Gt AND a great new MOBO with PCI-E to put it in! And to top it off, the 6600GT overclocks REALLY DAMN WELL!!!

sweet dude... did you get one of those SLI ones? if you did.. would be killer if you hook up two 6600gt's

I got a 6600gt for $215. Best card in its class and damn affordable. Great performance for those without top of the line systems.

I think i'll go with this one. It cost an arm for my 9600Pro so i'll stick with it till the next gen. I'll wait for the XT's to be dirt cheap when the next generation of cards come out.

When does the next gen of cards come out??

9800pro dammit , that is if you can get your hands on one

hey everybody i just bought a 5700LE for $165 american. Did I get ripped off or is that a good deal? btw, is that gfx card any good?
