Valve really screwed the pooch here! They charge us 49.99 for the great "orange box". What a rip off! I played episode 2 and was done in about 5 hours.......great value.... Not only did valve charge too much but why did I have to wait a year and 3 months for that crap? I mean they could have had that out like 3 weeks after episode 1. Having recently played STALKER chernobyl I guess I got spoiled. I was playing that game for a few weeks as opposed to 2 sittings to complete episode 2. I played F.E.A.R. and the expansion pack and was satisfied. Also check Doom 3 and the expansion pack there. Thanks Valve for charging us $49.99 (and giving us HL2 and HL2 episode 1 which I already own)....TFC2 is weak (coming from a dedicated TFC player who still plays TFC and FF) Don't even get me started about Portal! The game was good but way tooo short! Not worth the $49.99!

Some people will never be happy. I feel like I got my money's worth.

Too short? Yes
Not worth the money?
I dont know. I went to the movies and spent 20 dollars (for me and my wife)on tickets, for 90 minutes of Hollywood lameness.

I spent 2 whole days playing Portal and Half Life Ep2. thats more than 20 times the time spent and only twice the price of the movie.
Someone do the math, and give me a cool sounding figure to show how it was worth it.

Five games (one full-length, two episodic [that you should have known were short] one very short and one that's an online fps. for less than what one full-length game would normally cost. And you complain.

Also, the length of a game isn't the only criteria for which to judge a game on. Yes, Portal was short but it was, like, the greatest game experience ever for me. So, you know, shut up.

you're in the very small minority in not liking the orange box pack...

gah, damnit. my first double post ever :(

apologies.

Ep2 was the best gaming experience Ive had since...err...ep1.

You're in disagreement with every major gaming media source and 99% of PC gamers, then. You're also probably a moron if you think that something of the production quality of Episode 2 could be completed in "like three weeks". STALKER was in development for six or seven years. Portal + Episode 2 is about 15 hours of game time considering the bonus stuff for Portal, and that's not taking into consideration the custom maps that'll soon be coming. Team Fortress 2 is not Team Fortress Classic 2. Sorry if you don't like it, but you can't realistically expect it to be similar to TFC or FF because it's plainly not. It's also well worth the money.

$50 for 3 of the best games I've ever played (or 5, for those lucky ones who didn't already own HL2/Ep1)? Yes please.

Go play Halo, or whatever you unappreciative types do.
