Player Model

I'm sorry if I posted in the wrong topic an I'm sorry if this has been asked before but is it possible to change the player model to the resistance model using the console? If it is or theres another way to change the player model could someone please tell me? I tried using the setmodel command but every time I use it the game crashes and a error message says:

"1/ - player:UTIL_SetModel: not precached: models/male_04.mdl"
