playing the whole game on multiplayer running on HL2

I know that when doing multiplayer in HL2, the maps won't change.
But, could valve make it possible to allow our friends to come play the single player game with us so we don't have to figure everything out on our own.
I know the biggest problem would be when someone walks into another map and it loads for someone but not the other or something like that.
But it would be nice so one person could like pull a lever while the other preps something else. bla bla bla

u can do co-op multiplayer i think. if u go on that weird hl2mp thing then all the sp maps are available. One thing i do know is that the server crashes if u die.
