Playing without the DVD

Ok since i dont have a DVD drive but my laptop does i mounted the drive over to my pc to install. Worked fine etc etc.. Registered my HL2 copy and started the game..

The game asks for the DVD... but i was told that i have installed all the DVD content by installing so is there a way to skip asking for the cd like -nocd in halflife had.

Please help me or suggest how i can modify settings so steam wont ask for a DVD

i created the same topic but mine is retail copy so i have cd. i guess no one has answers for now.
