Please help, I'm stuck

Hi all

I know this is really embarassing but I'm stuck on the route canal level. I'm in the room with a huge ladder in the center, it runs down to a level below which has a sewer pipe on the wall, but its too high to reach.

There is also a room next to it, full of pipes, but with no exits or ways out.

I can't seem to progress from this room, I'm sure the answer is really obvious, but have been trying for quite a while now.

Jump down onto the pipes carefully, there is a latch/wheel thing hidden away that you turn and it fills the room with water.

I would recommend that you post these singleplayer related questions into the forum dedicated for it. I am having really hard time avoiding spoilers, cos i dont have the game yet.
