Portal/Episode 2 idea

This is an idea, sorry if i've done anything wrong

In half life 2, episode 1 you see a video transmition of Mossman. She seems to imply that they are searching a wreckage. The video then cuts out. She may be on about the aperture science enrichment center (the setting of Portal, a new game with relations to half life) and is trying to find infomation on portal technology. Now the person that you play as in Portal is supposed to become a character in half-life, this may be how. They (your player) may have destroyed the facility. Far fetched I no but it does make sense....

It's good, but I can't really think of a way that you could destroy the facility given the environments we've seen so far. If something strange happens towards the end, then it's quite plausible.

The plot of Portal does say you will find the facility in disrepair as you go along...it is possible you will bring it down, but I dont think you are gonna be Mossman....the girl in the vids is a brunette...

Dr Mossman was looking for the coordinates of the Combine Overworld, according to some older previews and confirmed by the newest vid. Aperture doesn't seem to have anything to do with that. Plus what we've seen of the Arctic base looks nothing like Portal's interiors.

Maybe Portal actually takes place at the Combine Overworld? The game does take place during Gordon's stasis, and the Overwatch announcer lady mentions "Off-world relocation".

Maybe Portal actually takes place at the Combine Overworld? The game does take place during Gordon's stasis, and the Overwatch announcer lady mentions "Off-world relocation".

That interior we see on the screen is right near the outside of the building, if it was a secret base it would be only the deep inside that looked like it does in portal. It would look reletavley ordinary outside.

i've been thinking along that lines for months, and interviews have said that playing Episode 2 we will learn more about Aperture Science than playing portal, maybe...

Yeah I agree. Your meant to go somewhere with ice, and the borealis was an ice breaker, so it makes sense.

I do not mean that you will be playing mossman, I mean whoever you play in Portal does destroy the facility and Mossman is the person searching the remains for Portal technology. They may or may not meet.

I can't answer the beggining but while viewing the video Alyx says "where is she" meaning that perhaps that is not the arctic base she is broadcasting from. Also Mossman says " IF the site is where we THINK it is.." showing she is probably not at the aperture science enrichment center.

Whats Borealis?

Borealis was the one of the ideas on how you get to City 17...then it was used to take you from City 17 to an arctic base for an epic battle against the Combine...in th end it was cut...

The level design itself was incredibly hawt.

Though I agree the gameplay sucked.
