Possible G-Man assassination attempt?

You know in water hazard when you arrive at the red barn and you see g-man up on the platform and he walks inside, only to have completely disappeared when you get up there (g-man style)?? Remember this bit?
Inside there is a fresh nuke that has just bombed the barn....
My question is why would a missile just randomly bomb a barn?? It was obviously fired by combine forces. I think someone/thing was trying to snuff the g-man because he is working against the combine in some way.
Reminds me of haisty strikes launched against Bin Laden and Hussein when they had "credible intelligence" on where he was located.

2. Its a headcrab missile, they drop them wherever there are people, and considering the barn was a resistance base, there was no surprise in seeing a missile there, the defenders turned to headcrabs.
