Problem: Chat Messages and Weapon Switching

Hello,

Problem 1:

After my last update from steam I noticed that I can no longer see or write any chat messages in HL2DM! By pressing "Y" yo get the usual dialog but after typing and pressing ok nothing happens in the game. Nor can I see any other chat messages as before.

Problem 2:
In changing weapons using the middle-mouse rotary button, now the weapons are switched instantly were before you got them shown on the righ-top side and you had to pick what you wanted! now they change as you roll the button!

How can I solve these?

Edit : Oh God he's not even online anymore. How I hate people that do that.

Notes for you:

1.in forums you are not supposed to be online until someone answers. It is not MSN messegenger. Don't tell me that you have nothing else to do in life than wait on your pc until someone answers the your post.
2. Your message is not "nice".
3. If you have "hate" problems go seek medical help.
4. If you have nothing to offer and you are off-topic it is better not to post anything when you are in a forum.

1) The chat problem was caused by a bad update. Just wait.

2) There's a menu option in your settings to turn off quick-switch.
