I'm trying to apply the same texture with specific scale/shift/rotation to several faces on several brushes. However, when I click on the first face to apply the texture, my scale/shift/rotation resets to blank. I seem to remember being able to fix this by having the entire brush selected, then applying the texture face by face, but that is not working now. I'm probably just not using the tool correctly.

Any help?

For multiple brushes:
- Select all the brushes by holding CTRL and clicking each one
- Open up the texture application tool
- Set your rotation/scale/shift
- Hit 'Apply'

For multiple faces:
- Open up the texture application tool
- Select all the faces by holding CTRL and clicking each one
- Set your rotation/scale/shift
- Hit 'Apply'

(if you need to move the camera to select more faces on the other side of a brush, don't select the camera tool to do this, just use the mousewheel, the directional keys and WSAD - selecting the camera will deselect all your faces)

Or hold down the space bar to set it into camera mode, whilst still being in texture application mode. Then just release the space bar when you have the camera where you need.

Someone needs to write a list of MIGHTY HANDY HAMMER SHORTCUTS for this sort of stuff. I've been doing that the hard way for so long it's stupid!

Another one that might be beneficial in this thread:

If you want perfectly aligned textures, over any edge, select your first face, then hit alt and rmb the second face you want to be perfectly aligned and voila.

Just how many other shortcuts am I missing out on?

Hmm anyone know of a way to edit the hotkey assignments? As a left-hander it's effing annoying having to scrunch my hands across my chest to get to WSAD.

Not that I have found, I'd personally like to use QWES instead of WASD, but as of yet, I still have to put up with the programmed hotkeys.
