Problem with npc's, ammo, and deathmatch

I'm having a problem with a kick-ass map i've made, which i have entirely finished except for one slight problem. You can't pick up any new ammo or weapons.

The map itself is a few city blocks, at night, with zombies. (Ala Dawn of the Dead, or Shaun of the Dead). The zombies are fast zombies, normal zombies, poison zombies, and i've thrown in a few fast headcrabs. All of the AI has been hardcoded using the setrelationship input, and sk_ commands. Everything works perfectly, except the ammo or weapon problem mentioned above. The game doesn't lag, the zombies work fine, the ladders/doors/windows/breakables/physics objects/etc, everything works. Just the f***ing ammo!!! And as you all know, a zombie kill-fest cannot happen without ammo.

I'm trying to release this map before Halloween, so the most urgent help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. Appreciation might be in the form of partial credit on the map, source file (.vmf) of the final project, etc.
 
Did you set them up as proper entities? Did you play with the their viewing distance? What do you mean by you can't pick them up? Can you see them? Are they solid objects or can you run through them? Details?
 
Yes, they are set up as entities. No, i didn't play with their viewing distance. I mean that you can pick them up with the grav-gun but they don't then dissapear and give you ammo. I can see them. They are not solid, and can be run through.
