At least 70 million views on the top 10 viewed videos. There are 1173109925 internet users in this world according to internetworldstats.com. That's a good 7 percent of world population. Just look at those videos, half of them are crap music. Would you consider this as proof that a good part of this world has failed? Up to you to decide.

Does Youtube count the hits from each time it's watched, or from the IP address? If it counts from each time it's watched, the number would be high because of the same person watching the same clip more than once...Some people just can't get enough of watching some dude light a bottle rocket out of the crack of his ass....

Youtube counts by Ip address, and play count does increase up till a certain view limit if I am not wrong, says so on youtube website.
