Last few hours I've been leak hunting. A few where very small openings created from some vertex manipulations I did to tidy things up. Those have been plugged. My compile kept whining about my props causing the leaks. I've since deleted only two static_props and the problem has fixed itself.

These two props didn't have the majority of themselves within the level so my question is. Do props that go through geomatry into the void need the majority of themselves within the level or not?

It's happened to me a few times too and only the bounding box was going through a brush, barely.

Good question; When I have a painting model on a wall, I can only get it positioned in the wall...but then when I compile it isn't there.

In the wall? If it's a model just place it infront of the wall, problem solved.

In my case I had two very long and bendy pipes.

Yeah...but then it would be floating in mid air...

Make your grid very small and position is directly in front of the wall. It will not look like it's floating.

That's what I'm doing. It still goes in the wall...

I've had things like that too. Thing was, only a few of them were said to be leaking. I had about 10 or so, about 3 leaked.

But as far as I can tell it doesn't affect compiles time or cause any crashes so I don't worry about it.

I worry about the part where Vis doesn't run.

any model that has a part outside my map I just cover in nodraw texture for those parts so that I'm sure that they wont leak.
