Purchasing games over steam

Does anyone know when we are going to be able to actaully purchase games over steam? lost my cd case to half life years ago and wouldn't mind buying the game over again. be cool if i could just download and play it instantly over steam.

when HL2 is available on steam, so will the other games in a short time if not the same time... just a guess though.

I assume it will be kind of like getting analy renderd with a splintering broomstick. well, maybe a little more painfull, certainly not as bad as listening through hl radio only to find out they know nothing.

Ya and where are the exclusive videos on steam? I have looked in the menus and its just games, friends, options and other misc crap?! Where are the fricken videos!

it was only during beta , since then they have removed it since they need the bandwith (i think) you might want to check www.fileplanet.com or www.hl2files.com they might have it

I think if you buy HL2 you will have access to all the older games they put out. I know I can play them all and I only have CS.

Buying will probably be implemeted when needed; when you can buy/precache HL2.
