Putting Half life 2 in real world environment

Hey every one,

Does any one remmber the time where some one made a few pictures that made it look like the half life 2 characters are alive in the real world? The person also made instruction on how to do it but I can't fnd it. I found one place here but the link in dead.

The guy who did it used HDRI (High Dynamic Range Image) to light the models instead of standard lighting. HDR is pretty sweet, if you're into modeling, you should definitely check it out.

The program to make the HDR images is free - www.hdrshop.com

Use the images with 3D Studio Max, Maya, or whatever modeling program you prefer.
